
KSM CONCERT ORCHESTRA
KSM Concert Orchestra: was founded in 2016 and accompanied the Little Sea Musical Society in the their production of The Pirates of Penzance in Spring 2017. The KSM Concert Orchestra has performed regularly in concerts featuring all genres of music, but especially the repertoire of musical theatre. The orchestra numbers between 15 and 20 players, who are either adults or advanced secondary school students (grade 5 and upwards). Most of the music is adapted and arranged by their conductor, Robert Mahon, to suit the various skills and abilities of all players.
2021 NEWS
The KSM Concert Orchestra will resume in November with rehearsals on Friday nights. The orchestra is open to the general public and also secondary school pupils who take lessons on strings or woodwind in the KSM. The level of skill required on your instrument is generally a grade 5 level. Again this is another music group within the school where we encourage learning in an environment that will include having a bit of a social over a cup of tea each week. Robert is now taking new members for the KSM Concert Orchestra 2021-2022 Music Program. If interested be sure to book as we have to limit number for 2021-2022
