The Best Music Tuition,
Wherever You Are!
FAQ Section
All one to one, shared and small group lessons begin at 30 minutes. Students taking Grade 6 or higher are required to take a 45 minute lesson. A 60 minute lesson is advised for all advanced students - experienced adults or those who are Grade 8 or higher. All Music Theory classes are 60 minutes in length.
Although it is not compulsory to take the Music Theory Class, we highly recommend it. In the Music Theory Class, children learn about reading, writing and understanding music in a shared environment. Music Theory especially compliments how you learn your instrument and goes hand in hand with it. It is important to note, that passing the Grade 5 Music Theory exam is a requirement for sitting the Grade 6 exam on your instrument. This year we are offering a Music Theory class either in our school or online.
KSM MISSED LESSON POLICY
**2021-2022 KSM MISSED LESSON POLICY**
Teachers at the KSM have a full timetable and in the case where a pupil cannot attend their one-to-one lesson or take it online at the allocated time slot, we are now offering the following. Teachers will record and send you/your child a video which they will make during the missed lesson time - the video will include a recap of the previous lesson and new material for moving on that week.
For pupils who attend group/classes here in the KSM please note if you cannot attend the lesson in person there is an option for you to join in from zoom. Otherwise, this lesson is forfeited.
We offer a 5% discount for students who take two or more one-to-one instrumental lessons, or if there are two or more siblings taking a one-to-one instrumental lesson. It is important to note, that this discount only applies if fees are paid on time: for those paying by term, fees must be paid on the first week of each term; if you are paying by monthly direct debit, the monthly fee must arrive on the assigned date each month.
